  The Spanish Fir is a mighty conifer with a thick stem which grows predominantly at higher altitudes.

  Evergreen, linear, very dense 1 to 1.2 cm long needles. Sharply pointed, thick and rigid. Arranged all round. Needles are bluish-green above.

  Smooth, dark brown bark, later segmented and fissured.
