Please make certain that the correct, approved guard for the cutting attachment is installed. For the correct guard and proper installation, please consult the Instruction Manual.
Step 1 of 6: Preparing your brushcutter
Please make certain that the correct, approved guard for the cutting attachment is installed. Hold the brushcutter with the mount for the cutting attachment facing upward.
Step 2 of 6: Locking the shaft
Push the locking pin or the offset screwdriver into the hole in the gearbox. Now turn the shaft until the locking pin engages and locks the shaft in position.
Step 3 of 6: Mounting the cutting attachment
Place the cutting attachment on the thrust plate. The collar diameter of the thrust plate must match the blade hole diameter and protrude into the blade hole in the cutting attachment.
Step 4 of 6: Fitting the thrust washer and rider plate
First place the thrust washer and then the rider plate onto the shaft.
Step 5 of 6: Tightening the nut
Tighten the self locking nut firmly with the combination wrench, turning it anti-clockwise. Non self locking or tired self locking nuts should not be used.
Step 6 of 6: Removing the tool
Then remove the shaft-locking tool again.
