Chain quick tensioning (B)

Save time and trouble when tightening up the chain. STIHL chain quick tensioning makes it very easy to tighten up the chain, without needing tools and avoiding contact with the sharp teeth. Just slacken the chain sprocket cover and turn the thumb wheel until the desired tension is reached.

STIHL ErgoStart (E)

A spiral spring between the starter rope rotor and the crankshaft absorbs the kicks and so they are barely felt on the rope. The result: STIHL ErgoStart reduces the effort needed by half compared with conventional starters and allows the starting speed to be cut by approximately two-thirds.

Carburettor heating (V)

For trouble-free operation even in frosty weather. The carburettor heating with temperature-controlled on/off switch helps prevent carburettor icing in cold conditions.

Electrical heated handles (W)

The electric heated handle is a safety feature that helps ensure you keep a firm grip on your chainsaw even in cold weather. Maintenance-free, wear-free heating elements in the handlebar and rear handle can be switched on if needed to keep the handles warmer and drier.
