For better results, STIHL knows what matters in everyday use from decades of experience in developing construction machinery. That's why our cut-off machines are the first choice on building sites all over the world. The TS 410/TS 420 demonstrates this leading role with some impressive innovations.
2-MIX engine with stratified scavenging
The two-stroke engine has a piston-operated scavenging system in which a layer of fuel-free air is created between the burned charge in the combustion chamber and the fresh charge in the crankcase. This buffer reduces the fuel-laden scavenging losses during the cycle. Result: More power for a lower weight, up to 20% lower fuel consumption compared with conventional two-strokes and a perceptible reduction in exhaust emissions.
Filter system with pre-separation
The long-life filter system with cyclone pre-separation ensures that approx. 80% of the dust particles in the intake air are precipitated out before reaching the actual filter elements. This increases filter life many times over.
STIHL anti-vibration system to prevent operator fatigue
Special springs reduce transmission of vibrations from the engine to your hands and arms. At only 3.9 m/s² the TS 410/TS 420 is in fact perceptibly below the prescribed European limits.
