The STIHL iMOW® RMI 422 P robotic mower has the power reserves you need to maintain medium-sized green areas. Its powerful lithium-ion battery drives the blade in the mulching mower unit so efficiently that this iMOW® robotic mower can mow an area of up to 1,500 m² with just a few charging cycles. This automatic lawn mower works on the area using a highly effective algorithm. Multi-level cut-height adjustment makes it easy to define the right grass height. During mulching, the grass length is only ever shortened by a few millimetres, meaning that the lawn can grow gently and is constantly supplied with nutrients. Thanks to Adaptive Slope Speed, the cutting quality remains constant even on hilly terrain with inclines of up to 40%. A moving hood with sensors provides protection. In the event of contact with foreign bodies, it gives way flexibly; in addition, its sensors transmit an impulse to change direction if it touches an obstacle. This compact power tool can be set up in just a few simple steps using its display and, thanks to the intuitive user interface, you have easy access to all the performance data and the dynamic mowing plan. An installation kit is required for installation. STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers adhere to all valid safety standards. However, the iMOW® robotic mower is not a toy, and children, spectators, and animals must be kept away from the work area during the iMOW® robotic mower’s active periods.     The standard equipment of the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower includes the machine, the docking station, four pegs for fastening the docking station to the ground as well as an iMOW® ruler as an aid for laying the perimeter wire. The robust material of the hood means the iMOW® robotic mower is also well protected against the weather.

    COMFORTABLE OPERATION. The control console is integrated into the housing of the STIHL iMOW® and has a large-format LCD display. The display is also high-contrast and bright, making it easy to read even in sunlight. In RMI 6 series models, it can be removed for more convenient operation. It is easy and intuitive to make changes to settings or the recording of performance data.

    MULCHING BLADES FOR ROBOTIC MOWERS

    AUTOMATIC LAWN FERTILISATION. The mulching blade lets you cut grass and fertilise it at the same time. It cuts the grass in stages and shreds the clippings into fine particles that deliver nutrients and moisture to your lawn. The specially shaped blades automatically change rotation direction each time the blade stops, ensuring even wear. Blades can be changed easily and without tools.

    PROTECTS YOUR LAWN. By default the iMOW® robotic mower travels home to the docking station along the boundary wire. However, the robotic lawnmower can also be set to travel to the docking station along different paths. It also uses the installation wire in this process, though it moves over the lawn with the help of an alternating offset to the wire.

    All-round protection

    The STIHL iMOW® robotic mower is equipped with various sensors. As soon as someone attempts to pick it up while mowing, it stops. In addition, the automatic lawn mower can be protected with a PIN code. If it is configured so that it can only be operated by entering a PIN, it is protected from unauthorised use.

    Docking station

    The docking station is included in the standard equipment of the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower. It is both the robotic mower's home and where it charges its battery. At the same time, it is the starting point for every mowing operation. When driving, the automatic lawn mower is guided by the signal transmitted by the perimeter wire at the edge of the lawn. This signal is fed via the docking station. If it rains or the battery runs down during mowing, the iMOW® robotic mower independently returns to the docking station and recharges its battery. Thanks to its intelligent charging system, the iMOW® decides independently whether an express charge is necessary due to another imminent mowing operation or whether the battery should be charged more gently in normal mode. The docking station can be placed within or outside the lawn area.

    Control panel

    The control panel with integrated and bright display is used on all STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers for easy setup and fast display of machine information. The high-contrast display means the control panel can also be used in sunlight. The panel is flush-mounted in the housing of the automatic lawn mower.

    Dynamic mowing plan

    Using the interactive mowing plan of the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower, individual time windows during which the machine can be in operation can be defined for each day. Within these active times, the automatic lawn mower automatically determines the best times to mow for an optimum result. If it has to interrupt mowing because of rain, for instance, it automatically catches up later within the specified time window. The dynamic mowing plan can be called up and executed via the control panel.

    Wheels with traction pattern

    The smooth-running wheels with traction pattern ensure that the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower moves with even greater precision. Especially on hilly lawns with a gradient of up to 40% and denser grass growth. The treaded wheels of the automatic lawn mower are self-cleaning.

      The perimeter wire defines the working area of the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower. The ARB 501 comprises 500 m on a coil. The wire is 3.4 mm thick is and suitable for installing the automatic lawn mower.

      The wire connectors are available as basic accessories for operating the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower. They are used to join several perimeter wire segments. Each package contains 10 wire connectors.

      The fixing pins are available as basic accessories for operating the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower. They are used to anchor the perimeter wire at the edge of the area to be mown by the STIHL iMOW®. One unit comprises 75 fixing pins.
